Transforming MathWorks’ new Lakeside Campus
MathWorks, a leading developer of mathematical computing software, acquired the new Lakeside Campus (formerly Boston Scientific). IBI Group collaborated with Gensler’s project architects on the design of the site and open spaces that define the campus. Redevelopment of the campus involved the removal of all existing buildings, working with the previously permitted parking structure, and the development of a completely new campus comprised of two new office buildings, an amenities building and fitness center.
IBI’s landscape architecture team supported the overall conceptual site design for:
- circulation systems;
- parking;
- new courtyards;
- a campus quad;
- spaces for dining and group gatherings; and
- specimen tree preservation.
